The SR-71 is a proven proformer in the industry.  The 2007 model is built from .104 thick 304 stainless steel.  Unlike the competition it is assembled using machined axles which may cost more but give the SR-71 unparalleled structural integrity.  Safety is always a primary objective, and the SR-71 uses an additional back up bolt should there ever be a catastropic failure during use.  The sheaves are case hardened to a 56-58 Rockwell and spin on ball bearings to provide excellent wear characteristics in challenging outdoor enviroments.  Built to accept two carabineers at the attachment point for extra safety.  Breaking strength 19,000 lbs.
